Devereaux Beach Chair
Photo of the Devereax beach floating wheelchair

Thanks to a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Marblehead, the town's Recreation Department, has purchased a floating wheelchair, which will allow disabled residents to wade into the water and return to the beach safely and more easily.

The beach chair is equipped with large, wide wheels which can roll across the sand without sinking. The chair will float in the water and is very stable.

To reserve the beach chair notify the parking attendant when entering Devereaux Beach. Someone will assist you in getting to the water as the chair is not self-operable.
